Hi, this is your regularly scheduled ffmpreg joke. Have a nice day!

@jeffcliff weird, but YouTube _is_ consistently terrible about displaying the right completion bar in its thumbnails.

Not that it couldn't be shenanigans, but garbage engineering seems more likely.

More peering agreements dropping. You'd have to fire me before I'd do this, I don't even care what country it is. I wouldn't do it. It's like the unspoken Hippocratic oath network engineers know to be truth. I'd obstruct it for as long as possible before they eventually fired me.

I keep saying it, but this keeps happening and you'll have a BGP war and absolutely no on wants a BGP war. It is the MAD of the internet.

@TetraspaceGrouping Certificate Verification Failed is super odd to me. I would expect to be unable to connect to the site at all if the cert was bad.

Did moa.party stop working? I'm not seeing posts being copied into fediverse.

I can fix this bug, says developer who is worse

@Hyolobrika@mstdn.io

The most interesting NFT thing I've seen was the house. Most of the work there was done by the conventional legal trust though.

Art NFTs seem unhelpful. Owning an NFT of some art doesn't really seem to do much.

by your powers combined, i am Fediverse Man

@Hyolobrika@mstdn.io

That would be more useful than the regular dns-based web.

@Hyolobrika@mstdn.io

In theory, I guess. In practice I think everything beyond money depends on a trusted central authority. (Whoever hosts the NFT URLs, etc.)

This is mostly a riff on a stupid Twitter post claiming NFT skins could be used across games, which would require trusting the game devs. (Unless someone is doing trust less, protocol-based games.)

Alice: ... and with Blockchain, you could use that skin in any video game.

Bob: Why can't you do that now, with MySQL?

Alice: I mean, you could...

Bob: Then what does the block chain add?

Alice: Not much, honestly.

Bob: Thanks for clarifying that.
