Eh, everything looks like that now.
I meant more the relays as servers but not as holders of identity. That's a nice middle ground between fedi and Sone.
I expect the failure mode to look like email spam. Open relays being squeezed out of the network.
But we'll see.
The #nostr design looks nice.

Luckily my admin has good taste.
@lispegistus my instance isn't blocked.
I don't know how they decided what instances to block, but the timing is suspicious.

It is just so hard to believe that we have had computers for this long and there is still not a common easy way to send a file from one computer to another.
These computers are on the same network. But what most people would do because it's the simplest, is to send it halfway across the world to another server just so it can come back to another computer sitting within reach of that person. That is the simplest way.

Not a feature I'm really excited for, TBH.
I predict that links to Mastodon will not stay blocked.
My theory is that people were posting links to the Jet tracker over there, and they shut that down with the tools they had.
I expect the blocks to be removed relatively soon.

The federated timeline only shows posts that your instance knows about. That's people who are followed by people on your instance, boosted by people on your instance, etc.
To follow an unknown person, search for their account name or URL to get their profile to show.
