I am thankful that I live in a country relatively untroubled by war, with decently functional infrastructure.
I am thankful for the combination of luck, personality, and economics that made it relatively easy for me to be employed and make good money despite my regular inability to manage myself.
I am thankful for the opportunity to see my children grow and prosper.
I'm thankful for the unending support of my family, who were there for me when my marriage ended despite my years of isolation, and who welcomed me back with open arms and still to this day have my back no matter what.
