Do you have a WordPress blog?

You can turn it into a Fediverse server using a simple plug-in. This means that people on Mastodon can follow it just like they follow any account on here.

Here's more info about how to do it:

fedi.tips/the-fediverse-beyond

(NOTE: This doesn't work on free blogs hosted by wordpress.com)

The plugin is totally free. If you appreciate the plugin, remember to send its maker @pfefferle some donations at notiz.blog/donate

There's going to be a _Shazam!_ sequel.

That means that with two Shazam films and _Black Adam_, Captain Marvel is the most successful source of DCEU films.

I bet you would never have guessed that.

@dielan how does the "adults only" banner on the milker.cafe bots work?

It seems to work correctly if I actually load that instance in my browser, but not if I see the post on my instance nor through either of my fedi-apps.

Is it a pleroma-only feature or something?

i wish to find mutuals!

if you're feeling generous, boost this or reply with tpot people i should follow

One advantage of community moderators is that when they kick you off platform (or defederate) they tend to actually say why.

And if it's stupid, you know that that person is stupid.

As opposed to on Twitter where you get kicked for <violating ToS> with no explanation of how you did so and no way to get a review.

Legal fund for Alex Norris, creator of Webcomic Name (the 'oh no' comics)

A publishing company they partnered to make a board game with a few years ago has used the opportunity to take all of their intellectual property/claimed ownership of Webcomic Name as a whole :/
From what I read, seems like its not the first time this publishing company have done that either.

Pilar gets killed semi-randomly. When the perp threatens Lucy, David takes him out.

Lucy and David reconcile. And fuck.

Maine sends David for training. Pretty much everyone on the team gives him the runaround.

(The translators are failing to translate "cyberpunk" and "cyberpsycho" directly, which makes me wonder what else I'm missing.)

David buys additional cyberware.

The principal from school has been calling, trying to get David to return. He's got a scholarship to cover the fees, and there's just a small matter of an apology.

David tells him that if the bully wants a rematch, that's fine, but he won't be holding back.

Looks like it's getting Election Discourse-y around here.

I'm going to watch anime instead.

megacorps rant, BBS's

@jerry

The instances are run by people using raspberry pi’s in their basements and turn them on and off constantly

Me: Bitches, you're too young to remember the early '90s era of BBS's. People running servers in their basements was THE FUCKING NORM until megacorps started running the show. Guess you're too memory-impaired to remember the thousands of RIAA and MPAA notices aimed at innocent people because Verizon, Comcast and AT&T ratted their own users out and then did a shitty job at that, letting 78yo grannies being sued for pirating hundreds of rap and metal music CDs.

Remember when Yahoo bought Geocities? Everything went to shit and the service stayed in a zombie state, having scripted bots in lieu of tech support for years until they finally pulled the plug and everyone decided to move to blogger.

Then Medium came and everyone moved there until they started asking for subscriptions - then everything went to shit again.

Now the same fucking thing is happening to Twitter - be fucking grateful there IS an alternative when Twitter is already going down the drain.

containers? processes? you must have hit your head pretty hard, just create a new instance of an object with the capabilities it needs

Playing around with fediverse clients reminds me of how bad the Twitter client is.

You just kind of accept that sometimes what you're looking at will just disappear due to a refresh, until it doesn't happen half the time.
