@pee_zombie @jdp clarification: JDP was not complaining about licensing himself but just saying that Pleroma (which he likes better on other grounds) would be a solution for people who were worried about license issues
@jdp @Connor considering the main dev's previous statements, the nature of the existing license and open source software, and perils of premature anxiety I remain pretty comfortable with Masto :)
I have been seeing a rise of Pleroma hosting providers, however, lowering the barrier to entry! i think this is a very good thing tbh, the more instances the merrier
@pee_zombie it was mostly @jdp complaining. A couple of others were worried that the Mastodon developers may change the license of future versions to ban its use by people with bad politics and require others to maintain a separate fork.
