@rime dangit
It's a recent unicode glyph that looks exactly like a GoL glider
@niplav Oh, I forgot to mention. Your mention of "GoL glider" here caused me to have an interesting observation one to three days later.
@niplav
- Then when I try to deliberately correct this (eg adjust the angle of the floor), often the correction goes whack, and ends up being overcorrected by a million degrees, or it ends up wobbling back and forth around the value we want it at.
- Once this gets going, it's really hard to stop; it has a life of its own, and conscious intervention just makes it more whack.
- It's like an earworm (music) that can't be suppressed.
@rime also, you're leaving?! Do you have a time frame for coming back?
@niplav After transformation is complete and we can save world, or whenever we figure out that it seems marginally better to do more socialstuffs again. I j think it can be good to detox for a while. For reasons I haven't properly explained, but prob I've explained bits of it. Oo
@niplav Hv lurned much control motivations and be happy, so seems possible to isolate "fully"¹ for 0.5-1y. Prob fail tho, and prob fizzle benefits; but peak potential seems high, and I always try sample for tail outcomes. 🦊
¹There are some obligs I can't isolate from, however. E.g. if I don't respond to emails from family, they might call police.
@rime cool, I expected you to have thought about this thoroughly
High variance for sure, I look forward to seeing wjat you make of it and how you save the world
@niplav I won't do it unless I can do it happily, or w a small temporary dip in a period of adjustment. I'm 32, and know depression can snowball if gets going. It'd be stupid to risk it bc stubborn.
@niplav race u to it :p
❤️🔥
@rime may the better one win
@rime in your case rather a correction - divergence oscillation
@rime yeah, I was thking of this kind of phenomenon a couple of days ago
A correction - convergence oscillation
