Observe that we already have anarchy, but at the level of countries rather than individuals.

anarchism is best understood imo as social tech

rebuttals like "it doesnt work" are missing the point, of course it doesnt work *we havent invented it yet*

I'm selling all of the natural numbers starting from zero. I'll track who owns what by writing your name next to the number in a little notebook. I won't physically give you the numbers, but everyone will know you're the owner. If it goes well I'll consider selling reals next.

2020s Hackers: "I'm building a casino to sell memes to gullible people for fake money by incinerating the planet".

The year is 20XX. Everyone is vaccinated, everyone is masked. A flat white costs one Satoshi. All social science replicates. Race is eternal and sex is only discussed by historians in hushed tones. GPT-47 Simba and Nala give an interview expose on the Pride Lands royal family.

The thing about the whole incel memeplex is that incels don't want to bang Stacy, they want to be "Chad". Chad's defining trait isn't his sexual power but his implacable masculine aptitude; Chad gets everything he wants without really trying.

Isn't it telling how "personal growth" includes our central economic & social narrative of "progress"?

What happens when we make it "personal transformation"? "Submission to God"?

Unforseen consequences.

To find the limits of Transformers, we collected 12,500 math problems. While a three-time IMO gold medalist got 90%, GPT-3 models got ~5%, with accuracy increasing slowly.

If trends continue, ML models are far from achieving mathematical reasoning.

Anyone up for invading math & exploiting it for its natural resources?

The difference between BTC and ETH is that people use ETH to perform actual transactions. That's why the gas price is so high, but BTC mining fees are not.

ETH is a transaction/payment system, BTC is a speculative asset.

Wait, if this is legal, then "produced WITHOUT any work by black/hispanic people" is prob, too. Really??? It really shouldn't...

@sschuldenzucker @monodevice @QiaochuYuan But isn’t the same true for the art market already? Photographic prints/Paintings also can be just scanned/copied and still people pay huge premiums for official ownership. It’s just constructed meaning that is not very logical in the end in today’s technological advanced world.

Why is there so little support for plugins / extensions on mobile, compared to desktop?

A tighter security model may be one reason, but it can't be just that!
