I'd like to propose the adjective "velleidaemonic" to describe environments/ways of being which are conducive to recognising/fulfilling your velleities.

(I'm open to other words, I just think it's a useful concept)

fr one week of holidays with my family (incl. a 6 month old and a 2 year old) has made me much less keen on having kids.

this feels like an over-update but i don't have any evidence yet to NOT update this far

And to me that's the entire POINT of a marriage (this and the commitment to stay together to raise kids).

People sometimes talk about having limited time marriages. I can see some of the benefits, but I think this is a really important feature which you would lose.
