more websites seem to be offering actually useful 'accept cookies' buttons

instead of the awful awful banners saying' we use cookies' i've seen several going 'here are the types of cookies we use, which would you like?'

@srs well some cookies actually provide useful functionality, like keeping you logged in

some common categories are essential, functional, analytics, tracking

i usually leave essential and functional on

this is a much better situation than 'we use cookies, if you don't want to be tracked then leave'

@urshanabi Of course, absolutely. I was referring to analytics / tracking. There seem to be no incentives to activate those. I mean, perhaps you wanna support the website, but... Nah... Doesn't seem worth the effort to decide each time, then tick just the right boxes.
