Really enjoying the fediverse experience.

Already eyerolling at Mastodon vs Pleroma arguments.

Already have a whole server I'm considering blocking for being full of spammy idiots.

@WomanCorn haven’t seen the Mastodon v Pleroma debates, what am I missing?

@Navertal <The Mastodon developers are SJWs> vs <the Pleroma developers are Nazis>, overwhelmingly by people who aren't coding on either.

It's like Mac vs Windows for the fediverse.

@WomanCorn @Navertal ultimately it comes down to a difference in cultural heritage and values, they're different approaches to the problem space of fediverse participation with differing ideologies. masto is larger, more complex, prioritizing UX and anti-harassment features, but consequently tends to lead to larger instances, given resource requirements. pleroma is lighter and simpler, making smaller instances more viable, which can be desirable for those who don't believe in moderation

@Navertal @WomanCorn I have some memes about it. It boils down to that we are nazi vampires who diddle lolis for not adhering to their orthodoxy. Since they couldn't deplatform us, they rather blocked it.

The funniest aspect of that one sided feud is that Mastodon started out so tremendously shit, that it broke GNU social and Gargron needed help from its dev to solve some problems. Its still the inferior eperience. After one Gnu social murdered itself through a design flaw, Lain started to make Pleroma. The standard subdomain is pleroma. and that broke the blocks. There was huge panic over it. There was even bigger Panic when gab forked Mastodon. It made Smartphone app developers panic. Fun times with Mastodon users and their fuckery. Hopefully they are the minority soon even on their own software.
@Navertal @WomanCorn a bunch of masto admins think logging into Pleroma somehow turns you into a neonazi; they literally rec servers to fediblock for running Pleroma or an FE they don't like.
